Dental Implants
Explained

Implant Dentistry is an advanced branch of dental practice. A dental Implant is an artificial root placed into your jaw to support the artificial tooth that is replaced. Dental Implants are basically miniature screws made of bio-compatible material called “Titanium” that are placed in jaw bone under local anaesthesia. After an initial period of 3-4 months dental implants undergo a biological attachment with bone called ‘Osseointegration’ which allows the dental implants to be loaded with artificial tooth.

What Exactly Is
Dental Implants?

A dental implant is a small “anchor” that is inserted into the jawbone to take the place of your missing tooth root. After healing, a replacement tooth is secured to the top of the implant.

How many implants will I need?

For a missing single tooth, we will need one implant. Fixed implant dentures would need 4 to 6 implants per jaw.

How successful is the procedure? For more than three decades, dental implants have been used successfully with people just like you. Good oral hygiene is an important factor in ensuring long lasting results from your implants. With proper maintenance, the success rate is 90-95%!!
